For unto you
is born this day
in the city of David
a Savior,
who is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:11
Thanks so much for responding to yesterday's post, "The Best Christmas Gift..." (click here for it). God gave us a great day. Our church served and loved people, the gospel went forward, and people's lives were touched by the message of Christ. It was a God-honoring, Jesus-focused, Holy Spirit empowered day.
For my part, I don't think I have ever enjoyed Christmas Eve services more. God gave me great energy, a strong message, the opportunity to personally interact with lots and lots of people, and the joy of hearing about his work through that service in some of their lives.
Thanks for praying!
This morning it's my prayer that God grants you a happy and Jesus-filled Christmas. Today and in the coming New Year, may the irrepressible joy of Jesus be yours in great measure. May the peace of Christ that passes all understanding guard your hearts. May the wonder of Immanuel -- God with us -- grip you as you realize afresh that "God went on a rescue mission for you." The proof is in the manger ... and in the cross. Yes, he loves you that much. Revel in it!
Merry Christmas.
