The Cutting Room Floor: Prosperity & Success

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
— Joshua 1:8 ESV

What does God mean when he speak to Joshua about "prosperity" and "success"? It is possible to read those words through the lens of the twenty-first century Western mind. In doing so, we can equate prosperity and success with dollar signs. That would be a mistake. In this week's Cutting Room Floor, Tommy shares a few insights from Old Testament scholar David M. Howard that help us keep our focus on God -- not on what He gives us.
